    Holy cow that is beautiful, you could always make it into a summer quilt so it wouldn't be so much heavier to work with. It is to pretty to be an UFO

    If it's huge and heavy, maybe he's just plain tired!! Might be a kind thing to encourage him, or even take over and surprise him with it finished. Or just bake him his favorite cake and commiserate for a week, then help him continue! :D It's WAYYYY too cool to UFO.
