    Thank you all so much for your compliments. It was a pleasure donating this quilt top to such a worthy cause, and I want to thank you all for your contributions, too.     I am so sorry, I should have written sooner about where I got the pattern for the split hexagons. Visitors left about 10 minutes ago and I couldn't wait to get on the board! Anyways, I found this pattern on www.allpeoplequilt.com It is called "Big on Tradition". I have not been to their site yet, and I am not sure they still have it because I don't remember when I printed it out. But if it is not there, I have the instructions and am willing to share it with anyone!!! Again, sorry about not answering sooner! kat

    these all relate to working with whole hexigons. they will not help at all if you want to replicate kat's quilt.
