The hard way. I stay out of the ditch so I top stitched to the left of each strip all the way up and down the quilt, avoiding the blocks. Then I went in and stitched the blocks any way that seemed appropriate to the block. It's a heavy quilt. My next one will be an all over stitch even though I like the effect of the quilting. It was a long laborious process. At the end of all the tugging and turning, the quilt lay flat. I then faced the quilt after stay stitching the ends. That's where the waves occured. But, my quilts are seldom laying flat. So it's all right.

Your Gypsy Wife is beautiful and inspirational. You colors are gorgeous and it's awesome that it is from your stash.
I have a Gypsy Wife in progress. Most of the blocks are made and 3 sections sewn together. This is the inspiration I needed today to keep going. I have 8 more blocks to make and running out of steam. Thank you Toverly!
