    I just finished these to send as a shower gift for my niece, who's getting married in September. They were lots of fun to put together, and I really would love to keep them for myself! I guess that's the sign that you are happy with your work, eh?

    Didn't have a pattern -- Found a picture on the web that was my inspiration.

    I was working under a time constraint. Last night I was attaching the binding, dreading the next day of hand sewing it down. I've not had much success with finishing bindings on the machine, but it just seemed like the right time to try again, so I did. And it actually came out pretty well! I finished them all last night; man that goes fast!

    Hope you like them as much as I do!

    Oh wow! That is beautiful. Those are my DIL & son colors they want in a quilt.

    Your quilting design really adds to the modern feel of the placemats. I think they are fabulous! Thanks for sharing.
