    Default Half hexies

Last week Jenny at MSQC posted a slanted half hexagon quilt using a layer cake and a large half hex ruler. I used my scraps, found enough to cut them from half of my 8-1/2" hexagon ruler and sewed them in straight lines -- much faster than figuring out the slanted lines LOL I'm lazy that way. the background is a tan, looks lighter in this picture. I had to trim the bottom to make it the proper size for the charity I quilt for. This measures 40" x 56". But I think some boy will like it, it's bright and cheery, and very few people. hopefully, will notice the top and bottom done match. .

I liked her slanted one, too, but just wanted to get something finished. LOL There is always more uncut scrap in that big old box!
