Default hallooween ten minute table runner

Made this table runner the other night for my nephew and his wife who are celebrating their first Halloween as man and wife. They really love this holiday - every year they dress up like zombies and she has even done a zombie crawl (walk) in a nearby city. the middle fabric is orange with pumpkins, witch hats, bats, moons and white stars. the outer fabric is a spiderweb with bits of orange. I sewed some bat and spider buttons along the edge where it folds over but i am thinking of staggering more buttons on the end triangles - what do you think? to me it looks too structured and this is for some very unstructured people (lol) I just absolutely love those two kids!

I would do something to break up the pumpkins. How about small black buttons in the shape of pumpkins? Maybe
some Halloween stencil designs or a couple of pumpkin appliques, preferably black, in the pumpkin area.

I love it! I've done several of these and love them in all different fabrics!

i think that after reading the comments here and getting some opinions from family members and friends i am going to leave it the way it is. now on to make another one (or two or three) for christmas gifts. a member of one of my guilds gave a demo on these about a month ago and she added batting to hers so i am going to try and figure out how to do it to give them more substance. i tried with the halloween one but the batting just twisted. she did say it was kinda tricky and she certainly told the truth on that one!
