    Love your table runner. You did a great job and I don't think the light color disrupts the pattern at all.

    I personally think the light gives some spark to the design. I always try and put something into the design that is unexpected and a bit off to make things interesting. The one thing I would watch for is the last strip not being black, it melds into the background design.

    All that being said, I love your table runner. What a good idea for the scraps!
