I have a question about handquilting.
Do you use a quarter inch seam allowance?
The reason I ask is because a lady brought me some blocks her mom had made and they are 42 blocks of Seven Sisters ... a seam allowance of about 1/8" ...
Your close ups look like they are that same size.
So, the next question is: why a smaller seam allowance for hand sewing than machine sewing?
Hope your medical problems are short-lived and you get healthy soon. <wave>

I love your flower gardens. lovely, and good work.
a friend in Europe sent me some that were stitched together with the smallest stitches i've ever seen. not something i could do.
I think the "sp" means spelling might not be correct on the word she put before that.

Beautiful job. I haven't hand stitched since I was old enough to sew on Mom's machine. I don't have the patience for it now, but I suppose if I wasn't with my machine, I might.

    Thanks for your service.

Know what you mean - - but, I try to remember that before there were machines, there were hands, and by golly! When push comes to shove, you can't keep an artist down! I am grateful for machines, but am aware that they are a gift that might disappear (nothing cynical about me! LOL) ... I am like you - - I appreciate the best of both worlds <wave>

Hi, sp usually means we aren't sure of our spelling of a word. Thank you for your service. I am very sorry to hear of your health problems--you look too young to have a hysterectomy (sp).Prayers are with you.
