Lovely quilt, and very impressive that it was done by hand sewing.

Your quilt looks great. You didn't say how you felt about hand piecing. I am considering starting one quilt using all handwork and keeping it near where I sit and talk to my DH. Was it satisfying to do all that work by hand?

Yes, it was satisfying, a great sense of accomplishment. It made me think of my grandmother, who hand pieced quilts when I was young.
The class I took was a block a month, so the whole quilt took a little over the year. I enjoyed it, but I don't know if I would tackle another project that size. At least not right away!
Your quilt would go much faster, since you wouldn't have to wait a whole month to get the next pattern. I usually had my block done within a week of receiving the pattern/instructions and had to wait 3 weeks to get the next one! I also did the piecing while I was talking or enjoying a movie with my DH in the evenings. I hope you will give it a try!
