Default Hand-pieced, hand-quilted hexie quilt from vintage sheets

Finally finished this set. Started cutting Jan 19, 2017. It is hand pieced, hand quilted (big stitch with Sulky 12wt blendables) and all from vintage sheets. The pillow sham is the triangles left over from cutting the big hexagons. It was machine pieced and hand quilted. I worked on it pretty steadily since January, with a break to make a small custom pillow for a customer and a lap quilt for my mom. (also hand-quilted).

I applaud anyone who hand pieces! It is terrific. You did a beautiful job.

Boston1954...I started to sew the hexies on the machine and after doing 1 flower, realized it would be just about as quick and more accurate to piece by hand. I didn't like all the fiddling with the seam allowances with the machine
