Wonderful! And clever of you to figure out how to avoid a hole in the wall. My dear hubby also is not fond of holes. I have not yet tried the removable picture hangars -- glad to know that they work.

I was really happy at the look of it when I hung it over a book case with a cute green 185 on it. Makes my sewing room feel even more cozier. Please turn a blind eye to my junk in the pictures. ;) I've been too busy quilting. ha ha

Because my hubby doesn't like me to put holes in the walls of our new home, I actually made a hanging sleeve & split it in the middle (doing 2 separate ones with a gap in the middle) and used one of those detachable metal hooks hung with a sticky-thing so I can just pull it right off if I want. I used a thinner wooden dowel and was able to just place it on the hook. Worked great.
I love it , great job, you could make pull shades, or curtains like it , that would also look great too..

Wait a minute. (The wall hanging looks great.) Your husband doesn't want you to put holes in the wall? What about pictures? Do you not have paintings and framed portraits on the walls in your home? It IS your house, too, isn't it? The advantage to not living in a rental is that you can hang whatever you please on the walls. Tell hubby to take a chill pill and explain to him what spackle is for. (I really do like the wall hanging.)

Thanks! Actually, I always use those new sticky-things when I'm hanging stuff. You know the ones that pull right off without leaving a mark. They really work great. :)
