I have to agree as well when it comes to scrap quilting, to me it seems that there is more of a story to each quilt (although that's not always true). But as far as fabric goes, you get a little here and a little there and who knows for what purpose and when.

Yea, no two scrap quilts are ever alike!

Shaverg, that is so true1 the whole time I'm sewing a new top together, I'm thinking about how I am going to quilt it, how many large spaces I will have and how many small spaces I will have and how wide the boarder has to be to hold whatever quilting design I decide on!

So glad you like my quilt and so glad you understand the process!

I understand the 2 years! I worked day and night on this one, fingers were sore and had callous on pointer on left hand. Was in the zone and the quilting pattern was easy!

So glad you like my quilt! means a lot coming from another hand quilter!

    Thank you so much okie3! :D :D

I love the way they were made with such abandonment, no worry about colors matching, and yet they are perfect! That is a true scrap quilter. Nothing like it. And doesn't the yellow set them off ! Everything about them is perfect.

Thank you so much, they are inspiring to me!

    Thanks all,
My favorite is the double wedding ring. The spinning pin wheel is one she had someone machine quilt and this was back in early 60s and some of it is coming out,and I'm not sure what to do about it. The other 2 are hand quilted I know I recognized some of my stitches :-) :-) They are still holding up well and have been used a lot more as they are older. None of the stitching is loose in them. Any suggestions about what I might do about the other one?
