I love handwork, but alas, i too, want to do, so many things.
I guess i'll have to be happy with my embroidery embellishments, when I get around to them, lol

Thanks QC, Maybe I can quilt for you and you can embroidery for me!

oh, but I am afraid you would end up with the short end of the stick on that. Your hand embroidery surpasses my embroidery, by frogs and bunnies....LOL....leaps and bounds

I don't have the quilt to take a close up now, my daughter has it. Here is a picture of a lap quilt I'm working on now and it is about the same pattern!

    Ninnie,
About the yellow in scrap quilts. I've noticed in all the quilts that I have that my Grandmother made she used yellow fabric as the main color of the quilt.Mostly in the shashing .

Your handquilting is truly outstanding. Such nice small even stitches.
    Congrats.

Thank you Cheryl (she says turning 10 shades of red ).

When I started quilting, I kept my frame in our country store and my MIL and 2 of her friends would come and check on my work. It they didn't think it looked right one would say" Now Honey, those aren't even, maybe you should take them out and try again".  So I would take them out and have a do over. It's funny now, but at the time I was scared of them. I'm thankful for them now though.

Coming from another hand quilter, your compliment is special

Okie3, I don't know what is about yellow , not my favorite color, but almost always use it. I think it is some kind of neutralizer for other colors.

How great for you to have your grandmother's quilts. You should do a post of them, I would love to see them!
