    Default Handkerchief quilt

This is a picture of my handkerchief quilt I made. There is actually 12 handkerchiefs on it, but I have my pillowcases made with vintage tatting and embroidery on it. The quilt at the bottom of the picture is the vintage wool quilt that my cats LOVE to lay on. I have also made a blue handkerchief quilt. and I may switch the quilts out periodically since this is a spare bedroom.

What beautiful handkerchiefs. Your quilt showcases them so well. Did you put stabilizer on the backside of the handkerchiefs
before sewing them to the background? Please show us the blue handkerchief quilt too. Love the story of the cats enjoying your vintage wool quilt.

Makes me wish I had kept all of my mother's hankies. But I got rid of them in my pre-quilting days. Like 45 years ago, maybe? Hope someone else has put them to beautiful use like you have Buckeye.

Your quilt is lovely and is perfect for your brass headboard and embroidered pillowcases. I have a couple pillowcases my grandmother made and only use them for company.

Love the vintage look of all that embroidery. The handkerchiefs are so delicate - just beautiful.

I love to see vintage linens, like your lovely handkerchief collection, used in quilts. Very special and beautiful.
