What a lovely lady, I can see the hankie draped to make the skirt. Finding the right hankies these days will be a challenge, they're hard to find and tend to be packs of flimsy see through fabrics sold cheaply; you might need to find a fabric with bright Spanish/Mexican themes and make your own if you want a true Senorita lady. Just my thought- could you tack the corners where you want them, then tack a couple side folds, then let the creases fall where they may? Might be real pretty...maybe use beads on the spots that you tack down?
