I think you are great. You are teaching your granddaughter something she will treasure all her life. Hopefully when she sews she will remember her wonderful Grandmother. I hope someday I will be able to teach my granddaughter to sew. I know my daughters were never interested.

You may have been exhausted but you will reap the rewards of that "together" time. I can't wait until my DGD is old enough so I can show her quilting. She is only just two and won't sit still for love nor money right now. haha. Your GD did a great job and look at the happy, proud, smiley face of hers!!

I think she did a great job. She is a natural and listened and followed my directions to the letter. Wow! That was nice. She was able to use my Pfaff 2040. I set it on my typing table and we put the foot peddle on a cushion. Putting the foot peddle on a cushion was a great idea because she could not press down hard enough to make the machine go too fast. We had a lovely day. I also taught her how to braid and how to crochet. I was exhausted!
Good for you!!! And your DGD too. I love to sew with my Grandgirls, 3 of them from 6 to 12. The 9 year old seems to have the most interest. Now if I could just get her mother's cooperation.... Don't get to see them much even though they only live 8 minutes from me.

What a cutie. She's lucky to have you to teach her so much. She looks thrilled!

It's so much fun seeing the youngsters get interested in sewing. And look at her gleaming face! Nice job!

WOW! That young lady did very well. But you do know it's addictive, don't you? And if she gets hooked this early, the fabric stores are gonna get a lot of money off of you, her & her mama. LOL
