Beautiful fabric choices and a wonderful example of a scrappy.

One of the prettiest scrappies I have seen! Love that big fern!! How old is it? Do you winter it over?

Thank you. Yes, we have two ferns that size and we have wintered them over in the garage for the past 12 years. I'm not certain of their ages. A friend gave them to us 12 years ago. I think they were at least 3 years old then, maybe older. They are too large to hang. We just can't lift them. A friend who is a Master Gardner says she has never seen ferns that large outside of an arboretum.

Love it. Wish I had a porch like yours. The two together are spectacular!

As a point of interest, according to the pattern cutting instructions, there are 1072 2 inch scrap square, 396 2 x 3 1/2 inch rectangles, 40 setting triangles plus the 4 borders. ( The first border is white.) The pattern is available from Augusta Cole as Confetti Quilt.
