Do you have another strong color - even black - for a narrow border to frame the lovely quilt? Then you could used any border once the eye stopper is in place.

Hi rose... i dont have much to choose from , unfortunately.. I am going to play with some long strips I have aleady left over from other projects, and maybe make a multi colored binding strip with many of those same colors.. just wont be batik I dont think in the binding.. thanks for the thoughts, too.. I may be thinking more about what you said if the multi colors dont look ok..

Dani, not sure the name of the pattern, but the blocks were like log cabin block placement.. I would have to dig out the name from the magazine I found .. if I could find the magazine, lol..

I was thinking a soft yellow would bind it beautifully, but you may not want to go that way if the backing is yellow.

neeg, the backing is a soft butter yellow, and would probably get lost in there...

Oh, yes, I can see that now. Probably don't need a pattern for this. I'm going to save a picture of your quilt so I can see how it's made. Hope that's okay. thanks!

thats fine, Dani.. as I saved my friends photo of it, too, to do it.. it wasnt hard.. the hard part though for me, was what fabrics to choose from my scraps... since it was all I had to choose from at the time, it was tricky to even think anything would go together like that.

I think a binding of dark fabric would look nice. But, Baby is going to love it (& parents too) no matter what you use, so I'd go with what you already have on hand. There are many very pretty colors in the quilt - most anything will work.
    Good luck choosing.
PS Wonderful idea to use new thrift store sheet & flannel sheet for batting & back - Wise use of $$.
