    Guess I need to find a quilting friend in Perth to bring suitcases of fabric to when I visit my friends in Perth! When I was there 2 years ago I about died when I found some Aboriginal fabric I had to have that was 37 AU per meter...I only bought 1/4m!!

    I feel your frustration. I have the same problem here in Norway. Get all my fabric on line or when I am home visiting in the states.

    I know....that's why my friend always buys tons of fabric when she is visiting me....she says...it is still cheaper when she has to pay for the shipping and costums fees

    same here, the hobbs poly down is twice the price in LQS than online--------crazy isn't it?

    Wow! If any of you overseas quilt ladies would like to visit southeastern Pa with empty suitcases, I'll supply the acommodations and take you shopping in Lancaster County where the fabric prices are cheaper than the LQS by a couple of dollars per yard. Of course, I don't know what airfare would cost you either! It just might be cheaper to mail you packages!!
