They turned out beautiful! I was talking to a group of quilters about an upcoming event for the county where I live and the Guild president talked me into making a couple of blocks. I ended up making about 6 squares.

I too made blocks for the soldiers and wanted to know where I could find an update on the quilts that were being made. I am not surprized that the blocks were more than expected. America loves our military. How were you honored to accept blocks to make this special quilt? I would like to put blocks together, and send the top to an experienced long armer to do the quilting for a special soldier. Since my quilting is limited to SID, I think this quilting project for the soldiers should be special like the one that you did. I hope my son receives one of America's Quilts. God bless our military and God bless the ones who care for them.

What a wonderful quilt. I'm proud of you for stepping up and first making blocks and then turning them into a quilt. I love your quilting, and I'm sure whoever gets the quilt will too. Isn't it a wonderful feeling to do something this special for someone you don't know, that will feel loved when he/she receives it?

Several of you have asked, how it was that I was asked to make this quilt. I am registered with Quilts of Valor. If you would like to make one of these quilts....(and I don't know if there are any left) but if you contact your local Quilts of Valor or the main chapter and ask if there are any more of the "Just One Star" blocks left to make .
Thank you so much for the loving comments. I am so glad that I have been able to share this quilt with all of you... for some of you... your block my be in my quilt. These blocks are from TX,FL,MI,TN,CA,HI,NV,WY,OR,NH and Utah. I'm from AZ and someone else has the ones I made. :)
