Love it! I am amazed at the bargains many of you find at consignment or thrift stores. I went to the local thrift store and found shirts with an average price of $3.50. I will keep on looking .

I have a couple friends from up north and down here who quilt. They go to the different thrift stores and each with about a $10.00 budget by many flannel shirts x-lg and up sizes and some old blankets where the binding is not best shape. They turn them into quilts then toward the cold weather hand them out to the homeless and different shelters. So proud of my friends. Working on joining them. They use the old blankets for the batting. They also donate them to the first responders in emergency situations.

I loved seeing this, as this almost looks like my first quilt, done also from shirts. Brought memories back. I tied mine.

The recipient loved it and his mother loved it more. Good job.

Love it, so nice and cozy looking. What size squares did you use? This would bew such a nice lap robe, so warm and toasty.

Wow!!! Thats a really nice masculine quilt. Does anyone know what happens if you make a plaid quilt with plaid fabrics?

[QUOTE=Rose S.;5943984]Several years ago, I got started going to Good Will. I got to noticing all the really nice flannel shirts for men. A lot had barely been worn. The Good Will at that time would have really awesome sales...I would get a flannel shirt for $1.60 a lot of times. I very seldom bought at their full price and I mainly limited myself to sizes Large and X-Large. This quilt was a result of those purchases.

It is a skimpy full sized quilt...I quilted it on a Pfaff Tiptronic 1171....not a great job of quilting. I think this is the either the last or next to last quilt I quilted on a domestic machine before getting my Juki 98Q.

It is beautiful!! I have some of those shirts, too. Good way to recycle. After they don't sell for so long, they may just throw them away.
