Default Have to share this quilt story

This quilt is one I made for our son and dil a couple of years ago. She picked out the colors. I did the math and bought the fabric. Of course I ran out of the brown. When I went back....you know they were out of the right shade of brown! I ended up getting something close, but really it wasn't right. I had no choice but to use it.....I was too far in. So to make up for the fabric mistake I wrote The Lord's Prayer in the border quilting and added a cross. They LOVE it.

As I was telling them about the fabric issues, I accidentally said that I'd made a mistake in mathing it. They still laugh at me for my "mathing" word. I'm an English teacher, albeit a goofy one. We still call doing math, mathing.

It looks like a very distinctive quilt. Quite often mistakes end up being happy accidents.
