but at the back of your mind you knew you would probably never live long enough to actually see it done? Well, this is that pattern. I bought it while on a shop hop in Kansas City one year. I love applique but knew that if I tried to do this one needle turn that it would never get done so I used fusible. It didn't dawn on me that I would have to reverse the pattern so my version is backwards. It has sooooooooooooo many pieces. To keep the pieces straight I used colored pencils to color in the pattern. The pattern is called Fantasy Flowers by Pearl P. Pereira

Quilt measures 50 x 57 Now that it is done I'm having a hard time deciding who to have quilt it. I haven't paid too much attention to the quilting on appliqued quilts. I want to be able to give my quilter some suggestions so I am depending on all of you to help me with ideas for her. Thanks

I was addicted to buying patterns for years...and I might have used a handful of them.

Did you do a blind hem stitch on the applique? Can't see the stitching...

Yes, I do it all the time. Always falling in love with patterns and realizing it may never be used.

OMgosh, I would have to live to be 200 to finish something like that! You did an absolutely beautiful job. Sorry, can't help with the quilting though. Just wanted to tell you how gorgeous this quilt is. Be sure to post pic after it is quilted.... and yes, I have tons of patterns I purchased just because I loved them. Not sure most of them will ever get made though. hehe

I was wondering the same thing, too. ;-)
