I was told to use a size 8 Perle cotton thread, and suitable needle.
All you do is quilt evenly and with consistent stitches... no need to try for
those teeny-tiny perfect stitches such as you would do for other quilts and with
    very small needle/quilting threads.

Very nice and even stitches. Maybe you should take a look at sashiko stitching. You may like that also.

Great - always a step behind the curve. I am trying to master smaller stitches and bigger stitches are popular. Then as I try to master bigger and even stitches ( like yours are) then smaller stitches are popular. The pillow looks just great and even stitches. Thanks for sharing.

I love it - and all this time I thought that the stiches had to be real small (not that mine are yet). Good going and keep it up :)

Love the cushion it is really stunning, read a tip somewhere about even hand stitching, machine stitch where you intend to hand stitch with no thread in the needle then use the perforations as a guide.

That is a great idea and was a perfect touch to your pillow. I may try that soon. Thanks for sharing.

I love the big stitches. They give an old antique country look

That was my thought. Looks good and goes well with the pillow design.
