Default Having fun.....

getting my head around this wildlife fabric. The quilt is for a little girl who shares a bedroom with her brother, would-be owner of my space quilt. I'm awfully proud of my giraffe which stands at 3.5ft tall. I'm no artist so it took quite a few attempts to get a sense of proportion of this, one of my favourite animals. I have some more blocks ready to attach but at the moment trying to figure out the best way to pull in some green fabric to incorporate the tiger fabric. My work area was in chaos last night - I am an incorrigibly untidy worker - but now all spic and span for another evening sewing.

If you have quite a bit of the tiger fabric, how about cutting some leaves from the tiger background to go on a branch by the giraffe? Looking great so far!

That would be a good idea but at mo not sure if I will have spare. I don't have that much of it. I maybe can use some from the block fabric though as there is spare there.

I did think of a tall tree beside the giraffe, the block does look a bit empty?!

I know if she is anything like my three year old DGD she will love it. She loves giraffe's. I like your idea about a tree.

A cute and fun quilt in the making.

You could have fun with it ... let the giraffe have some greenery in his mouth, as though he is eating it!
