We had a dear friend come to stay with us a while ago. Some may remember my post of my proposed shop that I had painted in shades of yellow - you know, the one that I haven't posted a finished pic of yet? Well, it didn't become my new studio space, but instead a dorm room for a friend. Much better use of space, and eventually will teach me to be more creative in storage ideas for the space I thought I had outgrown in my shop but decided to stay in. lol (Course if I wouldn't keep buying fabric to recycle from the thrift shop, I wouldn't be so crowded  ) Anyways... she planned a trip back home to New Jersey (she has my sense of timing - nothing like traveling into a hurricane, lol) and needed a gift for her mother. I had made the top previously and she chose it to give to her. We added a label "To my mother, from your loving daughter, Marie" and used a flannel for the backing to make it nice and soft for a lap cover. Here are some pics...
Her mother loves playing Bingo -we thought this would be appropriate
