Hearts for my Mother
#1
I've finally finished the beast that has caused me such discomfort in many ways. I finished the top for this quilt within about 2 weeks of starting it, hand appliqueing all the hearts. I showed my mother and she was thrilled to bits with the top. I told her that quilting it would have to wait.....however I had not anticipated the changes that would occur in both our lives over the next couple of years.
Now 5 yes that's right, 5yrs later I have the finished article to present to her when she arrives here in a couple of weeks.

Love the hearts! They must be hidey hearts, I just 'found' a top in my cupboard that I must have made over a year ago of hearts and nine patches in plaids and stripes - just got the batting and backing to quilt it! How can I forget that I made a queen size top! Duhhh!
Anyway, I love your colourful quilt and great job on the quilting!
