    WOW!

What a beautiful quilt. You are certainly great at applique. While I love the handquilting part I would only be quilting something like that if it the top was made by another. I have all of the preprinted fabrics to make one of Mimi Dietrich's faux Baltimore Alblum quilts. One of these days I will get it out and do something with it.

Making the sandwhich is one of the things I hate most. I have learned to face it like I do washing dishes or other household tasks like cleaning the bathroom. Just set myself on automatic pilot and do it. I just did one on a queen size quilt yesterday. Surprisingly it only took me an hour. I should have marked it but I couldn't make up my mind what design I wanted. I guess I will make it up as I go along. Now that cold weather is here I will enjoy doing the handquilting as I watch TV in the evenings.

Well, thank you, but I am NOT great at applique. I have found though that it really doesn't matter what the design is...I seem to just love the look of it. Its good that I haven't shown the very very detailed close up. I am learning though and improving. Its alway fun to look at earlier quilts to see how far I've come. You need to dive in...the only way to improve is to practice, practice, practice...or at least thats what I tell myself
