'Hello Kitty' Applique quilt almost done!
#1
I have had such fun making up this lap quilt. I decided to 'go for it' braving a little more variety from the meandering/stippling free motion! PHEW that was scarey...but I decided so WHAT if my lines are wobbly and my flowers squiffy, I DID it!!
I found the most perfect fluffy fleece for the backing...sadly it bearded up in the quilting, I have had a hell of a time with a pair of tweezers trying to get the fluff out, unfortunately the colours are quite strong on the back and show up like I have used variagated thread...lessons learnt..no more fluffy fleece for backing, no matter how cosy they are to snuggle up. I worked too hard on this top and it is spoiled a bit now Boo Hoo!!
Anyway, still have the binding to do, but couldn't resist showing you all the quilting :D
