    How about a small gold border followed by a larger purple one. Use a purple that is a solid or that reads as one. JMHO.

    That would be my first choice too.

    Or maybe do a narrow-width gold border and the a wider strippy border using strips of the white and purple....probably short lengths of white and longer strips of the purple.


    It's a wonderful quilt......the gold and white looks nice with the Viking fabric.

    defiantly like the purple and gold swirl to be a boarder. it will give the quilt a nice finish.

    Like the idea of a narrow gold with that purple swirl as an outer border.

    could you cut squares of the purple (like 4" squares that you could then use going in the correct direction...with narrow white and gold (like the body) connecting the squares into your border strips ... you would have to figure out the math but could add 8" or more to the width this way
