I think the second yellow brings the quilt top together, like using yellow on the floor and walls in a room.

Just had to say that I LOVE your pieced border. That is just awesome. I think I like the darker better also.

It wouldn't distract from all your hard work in the body of the quilt but will help to draw the eye to all your hard work in the pieced inner border. Then rounded all out with a dark wider bit.
I so agree, both yellows will frame your lovely border...

I vote to bind it with the yellow to balance with the inside of the pieced border. That would add a nice "picture frame" to your lovely quilt with a balanced appearance.

[quote=RST]I would go with the dark, then bind with dark. I think the yellow would be distracting, and you already have a lot of interest happening in your border -- you don't want to compete with what's already going on.

    Lovely quilt, btw.

    Agree totally with above.

I like the idea of the yellow and then the dark and I would bind with the black and white(?) stripe, but that is just me. Sometime I like the binding to be interesting too.

    GORGEOUS QUILT!!!

my 2 cents: I would go with the thin yellow/gold strip....then a 4" dark border & dark binding.

With the dark the fancy work you have going on gets lost, the gold will frame and stop the busyness, then add a wider dark border.
