I want to add to this border mainly because I think it would be more durable to have another piece of fabric to sew the binding to, if that makes sense. I think I want to just use a strip of the dark fabric and then bind with dark also. other option would be to use another strip of yellow and then dark?
    I just don't know, so I thought I'd take votes :)

I would go with the dark, then bind with dark. I think the yellow would be distracting, and you already have a lot of interest happening in your border -- you don't want to compete with what's already going on.

    Lovely quilt, btw.

Your top looks nice so far. I like the yellow border will the dark border be wider than what you have pictured?

Love your quilt. My vote would be to just add the dark and bind with the dark also. With only the dark added your edge would seem to float.

First of all, your quilt is lovely. I really like the idea of a thin strip of the gold then a wider border of the dark and bound in dark. Your pieced inner border is so pretty it deserves to be framed and seeing as you already have a thin gold on the inside I think framing it with another thin strip of the gold would look fantastic. It wouldn't distract from all your hard work in the body of the quilt but will help to draw the eye to all your hard work in the pieced inner border. Then rounded all out with a dark wider bit.

I like the yellow then the dark border. I think it sets off your pieced border better.
