#1 gets my vote. Just prefer the placement of color better.

Number one - the colors are better showcased all around - the grey next to the solid black in number two gets muted looking like a washed out crayon grey - and isn't enough contrast between the black and grey. In number one it is more crisp.

When i got out of my stubborn as a mule thinking i should ONLY look at those two options i had an epiphany as per usual right as im falling asleep thinking of the responses to my post. I think this is the best solution and i hope you all are in agreeance with me. either im tired or i dunno but i think this may give the right balance, chic, pop, and elegance i was looking for when i chose my material.

Without further adu.... option numero 3!
i took the busier fabrics and put them as the "borders" if you will and made the black and white square the focus.
let me know what yall think!
There you go - that's it! Now the light grey and the busy grey only touch in one small piece. That works! I didn't like it when they touched the whole length of a square.

#1 I think the large gray softens it.

I like option 1 because that pretty gray fabric stands out more. In option 2, the gray kind of gets lost......just my opinion.
