I prefer #1, and feel that it seems to flow better. Otherwise, the large amount of the busy b&w print competes with the strong red/black. The large, calm gray gives the eye a place to rest.

I like option #1 because that gray fabric is so beautiful! It needs to showcase.

I like one, they grey is pretty but doesn't look nice next to the black.
It was a hard decision, I like them both. But one won.

My eyes "read" them the same way - I'd choose 1.
