    I'm about halfway through the venice rose pattern (red white and blue) for an upcoming 9/11 church fund raiser and debating on what to place in the center doughnut hole. My first thought is this embroidered eagle w/flag, but it's about 115,000 stitches and i'm afraid it will be too heavy and stiff for the quilt. Could definitely use some help with this decision.

    if you really like it, do you have the software to reduce the stitches by half?

    It depends what the quilt is used for (wallhanging or bed). From what I can see this is an embroidery library design, which are always extremely dense.

    The eagle is really lovely. I would have a hard time not using it.

    I didn't think of that ideal, trying to reduce the stitches by half. I'll give it a try and see if it works. It is an emblibrary design, and yes, it is dense. It will be a queen size bed quilt, to be auctioned off, so I can only hope it will be used on a bed. I think it would make a nice statement in the center of the venice rose pattern, only if I can convince myself that it won't be too heavy/dense. Thanks for all the input.
