I love it, can't wait to see the finished project. Remember this is your sister's quilt.

I am from the Gulf Coast, and it looks like a wonderful celebration of Mardi Gras!!!! Purple, gold and green are the Mardi Gras colors. It is great and she will LOVE it and think of you every time she looks at it.

    Ditto on this person's comments/questions.

I think it will be stunning when completed!

So many times we make something WE like and are so sorry to see it go - and sometimes, the recipient doesn't even like it. At least you KNOW she loves it and because you DON'T, you won't hate to part with it. Get it done and out!

Wow, I love it! I know how hard it is though to work on a quilt I don't like, I did one that was navy blue's and tan and I thought it was so ugly and hard to work with. I finally finished it.
Try to have fun with it, your doing a great job.

I'll preface by saying that I'm not and never have been a "batik" type of person...but......I love this combo! Heck, it surprizes even me, but I think this quilt will be stunning. It still wouldn't work in MY house, but it will be gorgeous. Just grin and bear it and keep going.

Sometimes batiks can look too "blendy". The color choices on this one are full of contrast and zing. It is going to be a gorgeous quilt. Your sister is going to love it; she already said so. And you promised.... so it's a labor of love, right? Oh, how I understand working on something you are not crazy about. Back in the 70's I sewed some evening dresses for ladies in Eastern Star... all the same... turned out to be 11 of them... peach knit with sheer capes... ugh. Think of these kinds of projects as character builders :)
