    I like the second. Only a little of it will be showing and I think it pulls the colors out better.

    I like #2, wont be too busy since it is a binding and not that big and matches perfectly. #1 color doesnt match too good.

    Either one would work nicely, and since the binding is narrow, it won't really matter that the second one is a bit busier than the first. It just depends on whether you want a dark outline that frames the edge or an echo of the medium-dark pink flowers.

    #2 matches better and even though it is busy shouldn't be distracting with just a binding width.

    My choice would be #2. The color matches better and the pattern is so small I don't think that would matter.

    The backing is a light pink/white batik.

    I think I am going to use #2. The purple in #1 does match but not nearly as well as the purple in #2. In #2, it is dead on, #1 is a little faded looking.
