I don't know what I was thinking but I have done both the backing and the quilt top and now I really have a dilema because I will have to quilt over top of the applique on the back of the quilt. Do you think it will look OK? Planned to do a meander on the front but not on the applique - but what will the back look like? Any ideas anyone? Colors are much deeper than the pictures show.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

I think it will look just fine. The backing may get more "abuse" so having the quilting over the applique would be fine.

    Your quilt is really cute!

Thanks, the pinwheels are 3D on the front so I will go around them and the flowers just didn't know what or if I could do anything different so the back would look better. Going to go try and get the back, batting and top together now. Then to the really scary part. FMQ!

Don't know the best solution, but I LOVE this!!! Colors and design just so beautiful!!! As much as I love pieced backs, these would also make two fine quilts.

Two quilts are a very good idea if you remained concerned about quilting over the applique.
