    They are called origami quilts. It took me awhile to get the hang of folding fabric instead of cutting and piecing. She bought the pattern at the local quilt shop. Its called Aloha shirts. I had to watch a few youtube videos to get the hang of folding these. The videos were paper origami shirts but you know paper, fabric, same difference. We thought about doing a paper pieced block but she has no experience at paper piecing and I've little experience so we just went with what she already had. Its turning out to be a wonderful and interesting adventure.

    What a great quilt and she looks like she's having such a great time making it! I'm dying to see teeny, tiny buttons down the front of those shirts... ;-)

    Oh gosh you should see the buttons she bought, so tiny! Shes sewing those on! These blocks are taking so long that she's decided only 3 buttons per shirt...LOL!
