Thanks for the feedback on the block everyone. :) I am off to make the next one although I should be doing one of my other WIPs. :oops: I may have to work on just getting it ironed on and then work on something else and stitch it while I "watch" TV with DH tonight ;-)

Way TOO cute! And with all our wrong guesses, you have a bunch of ideas for future blocks! Here are some more suggestions: potted chicken, stewed chicken, chicken taco, chicken enchilada, chicken Kiev, fried chicken, chicken Fra Diablo, chicken salad

Swan song this is a very cute idea! Use your blind hem setting and choke up on the stitch length and width. Do a test stitch to get it just right on a scrap of waste fabric. That might work for you until you get a machine with a blanket stitch.
