The zipper measures 2 1/2" and I sewed it by hands. It is really fun to work with these small products sometimes during working on a big product.

Your thimble holder is very elegant and lovely.

I'm going to go smash the stinkin' plastic rust-colored pill container that I use!

Sewjoyce, we can get them in the craft store here. Well, it is the tiniest size of all the line-ups.

Panda that is so cute! I was really inpressed with your teeny tiny zip as well! I just got a Roxanne's thimble recently which came in a little drawstring bag, which I thought was nice - until I saw yours!

Here's the thimble with it's bag and a pic of it on my finger!

The bag is a kind of velvety fabric - you can see it picks up fluff and lint!

    Wow, it is cool!!
It just fits right on your finger tip!!
But I cannot sew with that type of thimble, boohoo.

Why did you stop using the circular bandaid??

The sticky things got really slippy and slidey if my hands were warm and kept moving so I kept hurting my finger! Hans didn't like to hear me keep going ow ow, so he encouraged me to buy this thimble in England a couple of weeks ago. I could never get on with a normal thimble but I love this one! At first I thought I wouldn't be able to get used to it but, as it cost 30 UK pounds - it is silver-plated (the solid silver was 70 UK pounds) (!) I persevered and now I really like it! It stays good on my finger and lets my nail poke out and because of the hole, doesn't get sweaty. I also got some clear sticky pads to wear on my under finger when I'm quilting - Hans insisted on those as well because he didn't like me hurting my finger! Those were really hard to get used to - I thought I needed to feel the tip of the needle to keep my stitches small. At first, I cheated and wore a sticky on my middle finger but felt for the needle with my index finger, so Hans wouldn't know, but he heard me saying 'ow' and worked out what I was up to! Now I've got used to them as well and my stitches are as good (or bad!) as before!
