It's my design. The dark valued parts of the 4 patches on the sides and corners and the disappearing 4 patch blocks in the middle are part of a UFO I've had sitting around for 3 years that I decided to rework. I cut it up into various size strips and squares, pieced those back together into 5 inch squares, then added the light valued blue and yellow batiks to make the 4 patch blocks, then turned some of those into disappearing 4 patches. Once I had those done I decided that the disappearing 4 patch section would make a nice medallion with the regular 4 patches around it.
The hard part was deciding to cut up the UFO top, rather than just going ahead and quilting it to get it done and out of my UFO pile, but I knew I wouldn't be happy with it. Once I figured out how to do the setting for the diagonal rectangles the piece came together pretty quickly. The cheddar fabric and the batiks were leftover scraps from my stash, which is why the cheddar had to be pieced in a couple of strange places LOL.
The dark UFO fabrics are mostly Paula Nadelstern, can't remember which series, maybe some of her Fabriquistan, and some of the Scribbles, along with some others that I'd fallen in love with.
Thanks for the nice comments everyone, I'll do the SID tomorrow and start the FMQ sometime this week. My goal is to get it done by the end of the month.
