Default Hex Table Topper - Fast ~ Easy

    Hi,
I'm struggling with posting photos in the new format. They all seem to be too large to post. I've adjusted this one a couple times due to being rejected. I may end up deleting the whole post if you can't SEE the detail...lol

I got this idea from another post in here called "Table Toppers". I went and found the youtube the quilter referred to and whipped this up easily. I used spray basting and basicially finished the project construction like a giant pot holder.

I hope you can see the vintage "look" fabric. This project is 23" x 23". Our quilt group has declared 2012 as "The Year of the Table Topper"...so I think I'll make a few of these as it was sooo easy!

    Enjoy...

YIPPIE.. it worked! I also have a different laptop, and it's sure got it's OWN MIND when it comes to managing photos. TOOK me awhile to LOCATE and turn OFF HP Media Smart Photo (which wasn't too smart...more annoying). It was hijacking alllll my photos and making life in general (re photo posting) miserable.

By golly.. I believe I've got it!!

    Thank you Ladies!!

It really was fun and easy!
I feel I need to give proper credit to the original link that got me "hooked" on these.

    Original thread started by : "lalaland"...(love that...lol).

There ya go... now you know what I know. This was all I used to make the "topper" that I posted. I did do some light quilting on it that does not show. It's got 3 rows of top stitching, and I sewed a large 4 line grid in the center for batting stability. It simply doesn't show.

Thank you again lalaland! This was just WHAT I needed to start off my year!

Have you considered making a tabletopper in 48" out of green felt with a playing card fabric in the middle? It would be wonderful for poker or bridge!
