    Thats because it is a twist on the log cabin. :) Igot it from a book in the library where I work so I would have something to look at while I am sitting at the desk.

    The great American log cabin quilt book : complete patterns and instructions for making all types of log cabin quilts
    by Wien, Carol Anne.

    They even have instructions for log cabin type blocks for triangles and diamonds and parallelograms.

    Henry, I've never seen anything remotely close to this pattern. Thanks so much for sharing the title of the book and a pic of your work. It reminds me of a twist on the pineapple, but maybe that's just me.
