Lucky Gal! She is beautiful. It is truly wonderful that these old machines can be fixed to run like new......sure not the case with the newer digital computerized machines. The FW's are so cute. I do have one but I just keep her on a shelf to look at! Someday, I just might start piecing a quilt on her but for now just feel lucky to have her. Mary M

Robin, your Featherweight is just beautiful. Your friend did a great job and your DH is definitely a keeper. That was so thoughtful of him.
I do all of my piecing and some of my FMQ (on smaller projects) on my 1951 Featherweight. My DH was obsessed with antique machines when I was working and we currently have a total of 38 machines, mostly Singers. He is doing a Featherweight for me in Purple (my favorite color). I am excited about that. He had collected them in the past but his ex wife went into the home (while he was out of town) and took all of them but two. Fortunately, she left two treadles. One is an 1952 Grover and Baker treadle which I love.
