Hoffman Bali Pops Leftovers
#105
Beautiful work, gorgeous colors and I really like the white background. I have some Bali Pops I haven't used yet, I think I will buy this pattern! Thanks for sharing with us.

You did a terrific job of winging it!! I know the exact catalogue you found that picture in - I fell in love with it too!!! For those who would be interested in making this quilt, just tilt your head to one side you will notice that the blocks are set on-point -sort of a 5x5 size (don't now what the actual block measures but when I teach I have students think in units rather than inches). The white/light fabric is used for the side triangles, corner triangles, and sashing with corner stones using the white/light and a very dark (black??) fabric. The setting triangles look like they are floating which makes it so much easier to square off the quilt. Looks like the border squares could be done in several ways depending on your thinking about seams - could sew white/light squares/triangles onto a colored block - or sew on triangles sort of like seminole.
Aren't those Bali Pops wonderful?!! I own several and find it really difficult to even open the packages - they are so beautiful - with Strawberry fields being one of my favorites (think that might be the one I just got at a quilt show in Concord, NC last week). Anyway, your quilt is absolutely a stunner and I am sure that those extra pops will find their way into several more beauties! I have saved a copy of your quilt picture to my personal quilt picture file for more drooling!!
