Default Homage to Benjamin Chee Chee.

This quilt is nothing but 175 Flying geese. It was just too busy and dark. To lighten the feel I appliqued over the finished quilt, the 3 iconic geese of Benjamin Chee Chee, one of our marvelous indigenous artists who died way too soon.
And I made their big bellies from velour so you just want to rub their bellies. LOL

What a wonderful quilt you have made! I had not heard of Benjamine Chee Chee but looked him up and also looked up some of his art. You did an outstanding job of duplicating his "Three Geese" ink on paper drawing. To put velour on their bellies was truly genius! He would have been proud of what you did here. Thanks so much for sharing this with us.
