    I do like it - a lot. but if you think it's too short, why not try a plain "backdrop" of the black to go behind it and make it just a bit longer than the pieced valance. It would also pop out the white (but hide that wonderful binding - how did you do that?

    I really like the backdrop idea, I'll audition that.
    I'll also try the dark strip on top of the stars.

    I can't really point a finger at what exactly makes me think I want to improve it. I know I'll do another one and make it scrappy.
    I got the idea from a pattern for a mantle cover for christmas, so of course now I think it's too christmas-y
    Next one will be wider so at least the points lign up with the frame (call me oc)
