The snaps hold up really well on my two DDs purses. They are really hard on purses. College students. I use the magnetic snaps from Joanns. I use the everything Mary brand. The package has a How-to-video on a web sight www.everythingmary.com. I just make two tiny holes (centered) about 1 1/2" down from the top in the lining befor I put in the outside and sew them together. Just remember they are magnets so I try to keep them from being two close to the machine while sewing because some machines don't do well with the magnets, frys the computer, or so I have been told.
