In case anyone is interested, at 3 Mesas the Hopi have a quilt show each year. Can't remember the time of year, but one could google it if interested. I was really impressed with the individuality of the quilts. Also, the women make a quilt for each new baby, usually (always?) a star quilt. Many Indian missions have a beautiful star quilt in their chapels. There is a lot of community caring in most of the places we've visited. A shared responsibility.

You did a super job on this quilt. You really nailed it on your choice for the back. She will love it.
